Glutathione is the most abundant intracellular thiol (sulfur-containing compound) and low molecular weight tripeptide found in living cells. Thiols such as glutathione, alpha lipoic acid and NAC are powerful sulfur-bearing antioxidants. The antioxidant functions of Glutathione Reduced include recycling vitamins E and C and serving as a critical nucleophilic scavenger, to block free radical damage to all types of tissues.

Glutathione (gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteiny l-glycine) is a peptide-like (short-protein) molecule synthesized in the body from the three amino acids L-glutamic acid, L-cysteine and glycine. Glutathione is a tripeptide amino acid produced in the liver primarily from cysteine. It acts as a cellular antioxidant by inhibiting free radical proliferation.

Glutathione is found and manufactured in every cell in the body, but is found in highest concentrations in the heart, muscle tissue and the liver.  Glutathione is critical for healthy immune system function and necessary for various liver detoxification processes.  Glutathione also acts as an antioxidant that acts to prevent oxidative stress in most cells and help to trap free radicals that can damage DNA and RNA, Glutathione is one of the body’s most important and powerful antioxidants, helping to detoxify xenobiotics. provide free radical-quenching effects.

Our L-Glutathione Reduced is produced exclusively in Japan through a fermentation process and is pharmaceutical grade, the highest quality available.

Q.Why should I take extra Vitamin C when taking L-Glutathione?
A. When you take Glutathione supplements, it is very likely that our body will OXIDIZE the Glutathione to Glutathione Disulfide. This is not reduced glutathione anymore but oxidized glutathione and is not effective as anti-aging and antioxidant. You can mitigate this oxidation process by taking Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The recommended dosage for Vitamin C is 1-2 times the dosage of L-Glutathione according to recent studies. So if you are taking 500mg of l-glutathione, you should accompany this with 1000mg Vitamin C.

Q.Who needs glutathione?
A.Here are the people who will need L Glutathione supplement: smoker; alcohol drinker; those 40 years old and above; those who exercise excessively/body builders; low sperm count; those with liver problems; those with cataracts; those with MELASMA problem, those recovering from chemotherapy; those exposed to chemicals and pesticides; the immunocompromised; low immune system; those who want fairer and whiter skin.

Q.Is it safe in the liver?
A.Regarding the safety of glutathione in the liver, it is said that “the levels of glutathione in the liver is critically linked to the liver’s capacity to detoxify.” This means that the higher the glutathione content, the greater the liver’s capacity to detoxify harmful chemicals. Typically, when we are exposed to chemicals like alcohol which can damage the liver, the concentration of glutathione in the liver is substantially reduced. This reduction makes the liver susceptible to damage.

Q. Is it safe to those persons with thyroid problems?
A.YES. “…both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are associated with enhanced oxidative stress involving antioxidants.”Reschu, Helsel, et. Al. November, 2002“…has a direct relationship with free radical formation and inverse relationship with levels of erythrocute glutathione and glutathione peroxidase in human subjects.” Turkish Journal of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Feb.,2001
