Jarrow Formulas Resveratrol Synergy 200 brings together resveratrol (3,4,5-trihydroxystilbene) and other powerful antioxidants resulting in a potent synergistic formula. The resveratrol in Resveratrol Synergy 200 (which yields approximately 90% resveratrol in the trans configuration) is combined with powerful antioxidant polyphenolic compounds (Quercetin, and extracts from Green Tea, Grape Seed, and Grape Skin), resulting in a potent synergistic formula that both strengthens the cardiovascular system and modulates genes known to enhance life span.

Suggested Use:

Take 1 tablet per day with food or juice, or as directed by your qualified health care consultant. Easy-Solv tablets are designed to disintegrate with several minutes of ingestion.

Q.What is Resveratrol?
A. Resveratrol is a member of a group of plant compounds called polyphenols. These compounds are thought to have antioxidant properties, protecting the body against the kind of damage linked to increased risk for conditions such as cancer and heart disease. Resveratrol is found in the skin of red grapes, but other sources include peanuts and berries.

Q.What are the benefits of the Resveratrol?
A.Resveratrol has gained a lot of attention for its reported antiaging and disease-combating benefits. Early research, mostly done in test tubes and in animals, suggests that resveratrol might help protect the body against a number of diseases, including:
Heart disease: Resveratrol helps reduce inflammation, prevents the oxidation of LDL"bad" cholesterol, and makes it more difficult for platelets to stick together and form the clots that can lead to a heart attack.
Cancer: Resveratrol is thought to limit the spread of cancer cells and trigger the process of cancer cell death (apoptosis).
Alzheimer's disease: Resveratrol may protect nerve cells from damage and the buildup of plaque that can lead to Alzheimer's.
Diabetes: Resveratrol helps prevent insulin resistance, a condition in which the body becomes less sensitive to the effects of the blood sugar-lowering hormone, insulin. Insulin resistance is a precursor to diabetes.

Q.What are the side effects of the Resveratrol?
A.Because there have been very few studies conducted on resveratrol in humans, doctors still can't confirm any benefits, and they don't know what effects these supplements might have on people over the long term. So far, studies have not discovered any severe side effects, even when resveratrol is taken in large doses. However, resveratrol supplements might interact with blood thinners such aswarfarin (Coumadin), and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications such asaspirin and ibuprofen, increasing the risk for bleeding.

Q.What is the Quercetin in Resveratrol for?
A.Quercetin is the polyphenol that helps to maintain the the blood level of Resveratrol longer. It also activates SIRT1, although more weakly than Resveratrol.

Q.What evidence is there that Resveratrol improves health?
A.There are hundreds of published studies describing the health benefits of red wine and many studies showing resveratrol to be effective in animals. Recently a proprietary formulation of resveratrol was shown to lower serum glucose levels and insulin resistance in type II diabetics, the first solid evidence of the effectiveness of resveratrol in humans that it has an anti aging effect.

Q. How safe is Resveratrol?
A.Resveratrol is non-toxic according to the Environmental Protection Agency. In human clinical trials, it has shown no toxicity and it is non-toxic in animal test at many times the recommended Human dose.
